It Depends on the Meaning of the Word "Named"

This is via Tony Pierce, who covers more ground than Garry Maddox did in Veterans Stadium in the 1970s. The cartoon is old but not dated (unlike me -- I am old and dated). I first "published" it in a 'beta' version of this blog several months ago and republish it here because I do not want to deprive Mr. Pierce of his much-deserved link.

His passions spill out of the margins of his blog. He is a huge baseball fan (his takedown of Bob Costas and defense of Harry Caray is pure genius -- criticism doesn't get better) and a huge music fan and a huge fan of interesting writing and a huge fan of pretty women and a huge fan of smart women. He thinks that OJ didn't do it, goes mano-a-mano with the President (among others), and taught a lot of us that we could blog in our own voice and didn't need to go to Columbia or Northwestern for credentials.

Do Harey Carey and Marvin Zindler get their glasses at the same place?

Harry and Marvin -- both legends. And Harry even deserves it . . . .
